Great service in the dining room bar table service was slow. GREAT FOOD & YUMMY DESSERTS

To call this a steak house is ridiculous. Cuts of beef are mediocre at best for the price, flavor and texture of beef was average at best. Been disappointed now twice with cut and grill from Izzys. I generally favor The Vans and their cut is legit and chef working grill is legit. Just DD from 16 mile and it’s amazing.

Food and drink was great. Service wasn't bad, but not as attentive a you'd expect for a restaurant like this (they weren't busy when I got there). Overall, good place, and would go again.

a fixture for comfort food and getting your drink on with classic caring staff. the history of the place may set a saucy tone for romantic outings.

The mussels were a delicious appetizer. My prime rib was cooked to a medium rare perfection. And the creme brulee topped with ice cream was a perfect way to finish the evening. Our waitress was courteous and the service was fast. Great first experience.

Great for a Family of 7. Reasonable price. Great Efficient, Fast, Incredible, Service from the (Staff). All the Food was tasting, Looking, smelling, like what we expected/Ordered. I Recommend it. + I'll B back again & again.

Not many options in the area with John Bentley closed. It's a "good" steak house but very hit and miss. This time the food was good but took over 1 hr. to arrive.For dessert, ordered an espresso, got a "small coffee"Tried it again on 9/28/19 and service was horrible, lowering from 2 stars to 1

I love Izzy's. Great place to come for a small steak and a Martini. Exactly what you need some nights.

Expensive, not great quality and Horrible service! The waitress took over an hour to ask for our food order. Was very rude and slow in general.. I guess because it's an automatic 20% tip with 6 people?? She didn't bother to come around often .

Good place with great food options. Steaks and fish dishes were flavorful. Service was good. Wine selection is varied. Prices are on higher side considering the location.

Not bad, not great. Surprised to hear that the steakhouse had run out of steak (prime rib) when I tried to order, but I understand that they can't keep infinite stock of food. I got the Cajun chicken pasta instead (I know, left turn) and it was good, but lacked any robust flavor.

Service is very good food is amazing. Everything is so fresh! They have great Happy Hour and early dining menus too! I loved the mussels, green beans, creamed spinach and the prime rib was wonderful!

I rate Izzy's Steak and Chops 4 of 5 stars. Izzy's is located aside the San Carlos airport (didn't know there was an airport in San Carlos, did you?). Inside you will find a traditional steakhouse restaurant and bar complete with dark wood and green booths. One nice touch is that each booth has a shelf with every steak topping you could want and then a few more than that! I've visited Izzy's three times for lunch (take care to notice the days of the week they are open for lunch; hint, not weekends). I have enjoyed their Prime Rib on each visit. The sides are well prepared and go well with the Prime Rib. The Prime Rib was wonderful and I can recommend it. Service was overall very good.I can recommend Izzy's and will return in the future.

Amazing service, our waitress was awesome. Mediocre food imo, ordered medium well and the steak was almost rare... not happy about that. Appetizer portions were small. Dessert was AMAZING. I probably wouldn’t go again but would recommend to friends to try ....

Had the Cajun chicken pasta, it was rather bland but the flourless chocolate cake was very delicious get a scoop of ice cream with it though

Oh my my my my my! The food here was AMAZING! Ive been to places where the food was more expense yet it doesnt stack up to this place here. I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary while on the way to San Francisco and i must say we were extremely impressed with the prices and more the taste of the food! We definitely plan on returning here whenever we are in the area again. See you soon!

Food was fantastic. The garlic cheesy bread and prime rib were spectacular. Service was a bit spotty. Maybe we surprised them because it was 8 of us on a Thursday.

Much better than I remember years ago. Glad I gave it another try. The cheeseybread was definitely cheesey! My filet was done perfectly.

I like Izzy's it has charm in the likes of Ernest Hemingway Style. The food is good but if it comes out too soon you know it was pre-prepared and I don't like that I like my food hot and piping. The waiter seem to be more interested in his tip that if we the customer was satisfied with our experience with the atmosphere and the food

the food is great and usually prepared very well. Steak is sometimes undercooked, so if you get medium rare, order medium. Sad thing is over the years, the dish proportions have gotten smaller and smaller. Salads are mostly lettuce. the lamb chops are extremely small for the price. Dishes in general seem to be stretched. Rather than raising prices they make dishes smaller, which sucks. It's a great local restaurant, and worth trying. Just be prepared for small dish proportions. The bar area is great for watching games and having a meal and a drink.

Skirt steak not marinated or even salted, just plain with a choice of bottked steak sauce like A1. While this was the norm decades ago, today's culinary sophistication requires more than "we grilled it for you". For $5 more, I can go to a Michelin starred restaurant for a much more delectable steak.

A good old school steak and chop house. Good portion sizes and consistent quality. Good dining experience with attentive wait staff, pretty good wine list, though limited to about 40 choices. Overall an okay place to frequent.

5 stars for quality of the pime rib. 3 stars for value-.potion size on side dishes very small, baked potato was cold. Service, was 1 star.-took forever for server to approach us once we were seated, them blamed us for the delay because we had a large party. By the time we ordered drinks, tables who were seated already had their first course. It took multiple requests to get our first plates of bread, and many, many more requests to get refills. Other examples of poor service I will not go into, but the over all experience was diminished by that aspect. Good thing the prime rib was tasty

I absolutely enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. I found the food very good here and so did every member of my decently large party. They have an extensive drinks menu and fairly pretty prompt service with reordering. The staff was very nice. There is a separate full bar area where you can stand and mingle

Food and atmosphere was phenomenal!!On a Thursday night, almost zero wait time too. Waitstaff was exceptional. Loved the creamed spinach and Izzy potatoes.Keep it up Izzy's!

Food was good. Service was good.Parking lot is dark and kind of scary, and the sign on the door about cars being broken in to did not help. Wonder is an upgrade in lighting would fix the issues.

Went there with a groupon and loved that they dont limit your choices, you get a full choice amongst the menu, tasty food and great service

Went here on a whim and it was wonderful... Best filet mignon I've had in a long time.

Service was good. Waiter attentive to comments and questions. However the baked potato was not hot and the skin was burned with the potato having a charred taste. Also we ordered a Caesar salad and the waiter asked if we wanted cheese, sour cream and bacon bits to which I answered yes. When we got our bill we were surprised that there was a .50 cents charge for the bacon bits. I feel this charge should be disclosed by the waiter at the time they ask if you want them and/or it should be stated on the menu. Really? .50cents? For over $100 for dinner I think you can throw in the bacon bits!!!

Great steaks and all that comes with them. The Izzy's potatoes are a special favorite. Prices are a bit high, but appropriate for the quality of the food and the service is spot on. The house made deserts are also quite good. The location, right next to San Carlos airport is easy to find and actually gives it an interesting little twist.

We love to go out. Last night we came to this delicious restaurant which we didn’t know before. We passed a beautiful time there with fine dishes and a professional crew and a professional chief cook. We added this place in our list and we will definitely go again very soon. We deeply recommend.

I've been flying out of San Carlos for years and I'm surprised this was my first visit. I regret not stopping by sooner. We had dinner at the bar where we could watch the Warriors while enjoying a good craft beer and a delicious meal. The hardest part was picking the side dishes!

Had a great time for our anniversary. Very good food and service was awesome. We will be back.

Not recommended, we wanted a restaurant close to our hotel and saw Izzy's ... we wernt very hungry so wanted a hearty dinner salad, maybe spinach with extras or similar... here are the photo's of the salads 1 ceasar and the other was called hearts of romaine. they were very small and $10 each! one beer $10 entire dinner was over $30! Service was very slow, they waited on another table first that came in 10 mins after us. The place was old and very dirty (its very dark in there so I turned on my flashlight on the phone and looked under the table... YIKES! Carpet and corners hadnt been vaccuumed or cleaned in forever... I should have taken a photo. Restroom was disgusting. Finally there were multiple signs in the Parking Lot, on the entry door and at the tables that warned of frequent thefts and that they wouldnt be responsible... Really? Why not hire a security guard to stand out there and keep an eye on things? We wont be back to Izzy's. - Kent

Picked up Easter Dinner there. Food and walk up service (masked and gloved) was first class! Prices were very reasonable and you get a lot!
